In late 2016, I hit a professional wall with my photography career. I began seriously looking into what it might be like to hit pause and pursue a personal project. At that time, I had been working with a breast cancer research organization. Through them, I met a young woman diagnosed with a terminal form of the disease. Spending the day photographing her changed my world view.
